By requesting the services of Strato Andino, the traveler or collaborating agency accepts the following Terms & Conditions. We kindly ask you to read them carefully, as they govern the relationship between the parties and establish the rights and responsibilities of each party.

1. Definitions

Strato Andino: boutique Destination Management Company (DMC) headquartered in Lima, Peru.
Client: individual or legal entity (direct traveler, travel agency or travel designer) requesting the services of Strato Andino.
Traveler: individual or group participating in the designed itinerary.
Itinerary: personalized travel proposal confirmed through written acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and agreement on the specific travel arrangements.
Suppliers: hotels, lodges, airlines, guides, operators and other third parties providing services included in the itinerary.

2. Inquiry and Confirmation Process

The request for an itinerary follows the process below:

Initial inquiry: the client communicates interests, travel dates and preferences through the available channels (website form, email or WhatsApp).
Tailor-made proposal: Strato Andino prepares a customized itinerary to be shared with the client for review and adjustments.
Confirmation: the itinerary shall be considered confirmed only upon written acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and agreement on the specific travel arrangements.
Travel documentation: vouchers, accommodation confirmations and other travel documents shall be delivered within the agreed timeframes.
• Acceptance may be provided via email, WhatsApp, electronic signature, partial payment or any other verifiable digital means.

Strato Andino does not guarantee the availability of any service until formal confirmation has been completed. All proposals are indicative and subject to change until such confirmation is reached.

3. Pricing and Payment Conditions

All itinerary prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise expressly stated. Specific payment terms and conditions shall be agreed in writing within each individual proposal. Prices do not include international flights, travel insurance, gratuities or personal expenses unless expressly specified in the itinerary.

Prices may be subject to adjustments resulting from significant changes in government taxes, entrance fees, airfare rates or extraordinary currency fluctuations prior to final trip confirmation.

4. Cancellation Policy

Should the client decide to cancel a confirmed itinerary, cancellation charges shall apply according to the notice period provided. Specific conditions will be detailed in each proposal, as they may vary depending on the policies of the suppliers involved. We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance covering cancellations due to force majeure, illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

5. Minors Policy

Minors must travel accompanied by a responsible adult and hold all documentation and authorizations required by the relevant authorities.

6. Itinerary Modifications

Strato Andino shall make every reasonable effort to respect the confirmed itinerary. However, the company reserves the right to make changes in the event of:

Force majeure circumstances: natural disasters, strikes, conflicts, pandemics or other events beyond reasonable control.
Operational causes related to suppliers: cancellations, attraction closures or accommodation unavailability.
Weather or safety conditions deemed necessary by the operations team.

In such cases, Strato Andino shall offer alternatives of equivalent or superior quality. Should the client request voluntary modifications after confirmation of the itinerary, management fees may apply depending on the nature and timing of the change.

7. Best Efforts Commitment

Strato Andino shall act at all times, under standards of professional diligence and reasonable best efforts for the proper execution of the itinerary.

8. Responsibilities of Strato Andino

Strato Andino acts as an intermediary between the client and the service suppliers. Its responsibilities include designing itineraries with professional expertise and in-depth destination knowledge, selecting trusted suppliers, maintaining smooth communication before and during the trip, and providing assistance in the event of operational inconveniences.

Strato Andino shall not assume direct responsibility for acts or omissions of independent suppliers, nor for damages arising from force majeure events, decisions made by the traveler, or failure to follow the recommendations provided by the team.

9. Client Responsibilities

The client and travelers are responsible for:

• Holding valid documentation, including passports, visas and entry permits required for each destination included in the itinerary.
• Providing accurate information regarding medical conditions, special requirements or restrictions that may affect the trip.
• Purchasing suitable travel insurance covering cancellation, medical assistance and emergency evacuation.
• Complying with schedules, meeting points and instructions provided by guides and local operators.
• Respecting the cultural, environmental and legal regulations of the destinations visited.

10. Travel Insurance

Strato Andino strongly recommends the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance prior to confirming any itinerary.

The insurance policy should include, at minimum: trip cancellation and interruption coverage, overseas medical assistance and hospitalization, emergency medical evacuation including remote areas such as the Amazon or high-altitude regions, and baggage loss or damage. Strato Andino shall not be held responsible for expenses resulting from the absence of adequate insurance coverage.

Strato Andino does not provide medical services nor guarantee immediate access to healthcare services in remote areas. Travelers acknowledge and assume the inherent risks associated with nature-based travel, adventure experiences and destinations with limited accessibility.

By confirming the trip, the traveler acknowledges and accepts the inherent risks associated with nature, adventure and remote-destination experiences.

11. Conditions for Agencies and B2B Partners

Travel agencies, travel designers and other strategic partners operating with Strato Andino under a B2B model additionally agree to:

• Maintain confidentiality regarding net rates, suppliers and shared commercial conditions.
• Refrain from contacting Strato Andino suppliers directly without prior written authorization.
• Respect the deadlines agreed within collaboration agreements.
• Accurately transmit itinerary information to the final traveler, without substantial modifications unless previously approved.

12. Intellectual Property

All itineraries, proposals, informational materials, texts and images developed by Strato Andino are the intellectual property of the company. Reproduction, distribution or commercial use without prior written authorization is strictly prohibited.

13. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any complaint or disagreement, the client must notify Strato Andino in writing within 30 days following the event or the traveler’s return date. Both parties agree to seek an amicable resolution in the first instance. Should no agreement be reached, the parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lima, Peru, and to applicable Peruvian law.

14. Amendments to These Terms

Strato Andino reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions. Any amendments shall enter into force upon publication on the website. Confirmed itineraries shall remain governed by the Terms & Conditions in effect at the time of confirmation.
